Just thought that you might like to know that...after 5 days of no power in our house, when it finally came back on, the temperature on our main floor was still at 65 degrees. The house quality was really apparent throughout this ordeal, we were never uncomfortable. It is amazing how well it holds the heat. Thanks!

Shane worked very hard to keep on top of all the issues during construction. He and his crew did a wonderful job, their craftsmanship is outstanding! Shane and crew were always on the job at an early morning hour and were there working every day. We found he and his crew always to be happy, friendly, courteous, cooperative and very responsive to our wishes and requests- even coming up with innovative solutions to problems dismissed as "not able to be done" by others. Shane kept us informed of progress and/or delays. He was always very prompt in responding to calls, questions or input. He always took responsibility for any issues, delays or setbacks that he felt were in his realm as General Contractor, even if it was due to manufacturing issues. Even though the custom home building process is always fraught with frustrations and challenges, Shane and his crew were so pleasant to deal with!

I met Shane about four years ago. I was impressed from the very first phone call - there was a voice on the other end of the line! We spoke at length and arranged a time to meet to discuss renovation ideas at my home. Expecting a long wait to get together, I was again impressed that Shane asked if I was available within a day or two. I knew from the moment Shane walked into my home that he was different – he was polite, friendly, and gracious, patiently listened and took notes while talking about all the crazy ideas I had, and provided many ideas that were perfect. The first project started shortly thereafter and included a large deck with custom features, new doors, new exterior steps, and a beautiful stonewall.

It is now four years later, and Shane and his wonderful crew are in the midst of a total renovation of my home that includes roofing, gutting and replacing the second floor, two new bathrooms, flooring, insulation, and a list of associated projects. Each day I come home and am in awe of what was created that day.

Shane’s crew (Jim, Ben, Nate, and Jay) as well as Dave the electrician, Danny the plumber, and Jack for HVAC, are truly the best. Everyone arrives as planned with a huge smile, and work tirelessly all day. Not only is everyone reliable, a lot of fun, and proud of what was accomplished each day, I arrive home to impeccable work, a spotless house, doors all locked, and my dog happy to have spent the day with his buddies!

I am honored to provide a recommendation for Ridgeview. This is a group that all respect each other, have a great time working together, and a group you truly look forward to seeing each day. Throughout the years and the many projects, I have found Shane incredibly organized, and I have never been left wondering what the plan is, or ever had a question or a phone call left unanswered. I “found” Shane of Ridgeview Construction on an Internet service as I was trying to locate a builder who would be willing to build a self-designed custom hybrid post and beam home.I truly feel that it was divine intervention! Shane and his crew are awesome!

Admittedly, my husband and I were very naïve and inexperienced with being “green”. Shane presented us with building options, including building in an eco-friendly/efficient manner. His no nonsense approach made it easy for us to decide on “going green”. He opened our eyes to an entirely new perspective and way of life.

Shane was flexible and willing to work with our ideas but at the same time, he told us what would work and what wouldn’t. Keeping to our ideals and a budget was crucial. We worked as a team to bring our dreams to fruition. Although building in general can be very stressful, Shane communicated with us every step of the way and really helped to alleviate the building stressors.

I would be remiss if I didn’t applaud the “boys”- Shane’s crew is nothing less than stellar. Right from day one, they presented themselves in a respectful and professional manner. They took immense pride in the fact that they were building our dream home.

More often than not, one hears horror stories about contractors, building a custom home, etc. Shane is the complete antithesis of “the norm” and we couldn’t be happier or more proud of the final product. He changed our lives and made our dreams come true!
